Coach Registration

Ahoy, aspiring mentors! Join the ranks of the Saskatoon Pirates as a coach, where we treasure the leadership ye bring to our crew!

Coaching Requirements in Saskatchewan

All personnel on deck coaching during practices or games MUST be registered. This includes any volunteer or assistant coaches.

Water Polo Saskatchewan requires the following for coaches in Saskatchewan:

1. Respect in Sport Certification (you will not be able to register without your certificate number, look up your number here)
2. Criminal Record Check (for coaches 18 years or older at any time in the season) (option to: a) obtain a CRC from your local police department and upload a document during registration; OR b) complete an Enhanced Online Police Information Check (Criminal Record Check) during registration via Triton.

Water Polo Saskatchewan strongly recommends the following for coaches in Saskatchewan:

1. Community or Competitive Coaching Course completion and certification (more details on the WPS website)
2. NCCP Making Head Way in Sport (free module)
